Travel Itinerary
- Day 1: Sightseeing tour in Luang Prabang World Heritage Site
Tour starting pick you up at hotel at 5:00 AM then going to see local people offering food to the Monk and go to visit morning market, after that going back to the hotel for breakfast. After finish breakfast tour starting pick you up at hotel at 8:00AM then going to visit Vat Mai temple and go to visit Luang Prabang Royal Palace Museum, and then walking along the road side for watching old building French architecture during Laos was colonized by French, then visit Vat Xeinng Thong and Vat Visoon Narat temples. After sightseeing temples will break for having lunch at restaurant, then continues touring to go to visit Xang Khong village to see local people how to makings mulberry paper and silk weaving to made clothes, you can basically learn from local people and you also can support to buy local product is home made. And then go into the city for walking upstairs 328 stairs to the top Phou Si pagoda mountain for enjoying scenery, landscape view around Luang Prabang city and watching sunset over the other side of Mekong River, after that you tour guide will take you down to go to restaurant for having dinner and bring you back to your hotel on the way back you can Shopping souvenir at night market. hotel on the way back you can Shopping souvenir at night market.
- Day 2: Boat trips to visit Ban charn is pottery making village, Ban Xang Hay is whisky making village and Pak Ou caves.
After finished breakfast at 8:00 AM your tour guide will pick you up from hotel then transfer to boat pier, then take a slow boat going to visit Pottery village to watch local people makings pots, jars and made many kind of souvenirs for selling to tourist, after pottery village visiting then take slow boat cruise up the Mekong River for enjoying view both side Mekong River to visit Ban Xang Hai to watch local people how to make Lao whisky, is once famous village to made Lao whisky to export in Luang Prabang Laos. And you could try Lao whisky there are three different colors, white one is 40-45 degree, purple one is 20-25 degree and yellow one is 10-15 degree, if you like it, you can support to buy homemade product from local people and you will walk around the village before heading to Pak Ou caves another half hour, then stop at restaurant for having lunch. After lunch then going to visit Pak Ou caves (Tham Thing cave) you will see lower and upper caves, both cave there are thousand buddhas images inside the caves, the Pak Ou cave means” Pak is mouth, Ou is River” (Ou River mouth) the Pak Ou caves is once holy cave, every year during Lao New Year so many Lao people even governor official came here for worship and sprinkle to buddhas to get good luck to their family once a year. Then boat cruise down Mekong River an hour back to the pier at Luang Prabang city and transfer by van to your hotel.
- Day 3: Visit Long Lao Hmong Hilltribe village and Trekking to Kuang Si waterfall.
Pick you up from hotel at 8: 00 AM, then traveling on dirty road to Long Lao Hmong village will take time 40 minutes, then your tour guide will take you walking around the village and explain you know Hmong tribal culture, then start trekking from village through local farm as rubber, teak wood and corn, rice fields, then walk up and down hill through jungle to the point stop lunch will take 2 and half hours, after finished lunch going to visit hermit cave and spring water.
And then continue to walk to top Kuang Si waterfall, and enjoy green paradise, scenery view, take photos beautiful landscape and then walking down hill to the waterfall bottom to see absolutely gorgeous waterfall nice view, then walk to the pool for swimming, get soaking body in cool water and relax.
After swimming and get change clothes walk to watch the Bears in the Rescue Center Bear, and then get a van return back to your hotel in Luang Prabang city and say goodbye to your tour guide.
- Day 4: Transfer From hotel to Luang Prabang Airport or Railway train station
